March 8, 2008: How Much is that Greyhound in the Kennel?
Aimee and I went to the local greyhound rescue today to interview possible companions for Patti.
One dog was far ahead of the others in temperament and qualifications, and his name is Graham.

He's shy with people he doesn't know yet, but he warmed to us quickly--coming out of his crate voluntarily to see us and then leaning against our legs while we petted him. Better yet, Patti seemed to like him, or at least not dislike him (that being, as it is for me, often the best to hope for).
The other dogs we met were friendly and ebullient, both of which are fun qualities. But they find new owners easily, and a quiet shy dog like Graham has a harder time. Plus, he really seems out of place there at the kennel, ready to take up his proper dignified Victorian existence.
Happy to oblige!
We'll be getting him out of hock late next week after he's fixed and has his teeth cleaned. I'll post lots more pictures of him over the years.

Congrats.
