What is Acres of Perhaps?

Acres of Perhaps is a new writer's retreat in St. Augustine, Florida for writers of fantasy, horror, science fiction, and mystery. Based loosely on workshops like Sycamore Hill and Blue Heaven, Acres of Perhaps aspires to be a relaxed atmosphere in which writers can create, critique, and socialize amid the stimulating history and aesthetics of the nation's oldest city.

Our first annual event will be October 23rd through the 26th, 2008.

What Do You Do at Acres of Perhaps?

We write, mostly. Sometimes we critique or share manuscripts. Other times we stagger drunkenly through crowds of polyester-clad tourists, stealing their cheap souvenir pirate hats. We tour kitschy historic sites. We break into cemeteries.

Can I Come?

Acres of Perhaps is designed to be a writer's retreat for professionals and it is invitation-only. If you're a serious writer with publication credits, please feel free to contact me to be placed on our list of invitees.
